Map My Venue and its companion mapping apps, Localized and Live Odometry, make up half of Flyby Media’s patented positioning technology. Flyby utilized their technology, which was developed in part with Google’s Project Tango, to create user generated, indoor maps with “blue dot” localization. The maps created by Map My Venue were then incorporated into Flyby’s indoor retail experience app, Shimmer.
As Flyby’s Creative Director and Product Design Lead, I was responsible for the UX and UI design of the apps, the branding, and the front-end development of mapmyvenue.com. I also created their technology demo videos prior to their purchase by Apple.
